About us

A&M Steel Bridge has a legacy spanning more than 40 years, but the team has also faced significant challenges along the way. Three years ago, the effects of COVID-19 disrupted the passing of knowledge within the organization, leaving the team without strong leadership continuity as members moved online. Despite this setback, the team successfully brought its first bridge in years to competition and began rebuilding its foundation.

During that period, we established dedicated design, fabrication, and build teams, allowing members to specialize and strengthen their technical skills. While our initial focus on maximizing structural strength resulted in slower build times, the experience set the stage for major improvements. The following year, we applied what we had learned—combining hands-on experience with classroom knowledge and advanced engineering tools like SAP2000—to design a bridge that achieved both strength and efficient assembly.

This year, we are building on that momentum to elevate not only our bridge but our entire organization. We are expanding our marketing and recruitment efforts, strengthening our technical training, and leveraging software such as RISA, along with increased team manpower. Our goal is to design and construct a bridge that strikes the optimal balance between build efficiency and structural performance.

We are excited to demonstrate our growth, resilience, and commitment to excellence at this year’s competition with a bridge that excels in every aspect of the challenge.
